Ihan hyvin mietitty konsepti ”koko päivän paikaksi”: aamulla puuroa, päivällä lounasta ja illalla burgerit ja oluet 👍

Piipahdin lounaalla (13,7 €). Uunimakkaroihin oli saatu mukavasti pientä twistiä, salaattiosio oli todella hyvä ja jälkkäriksi oli kahvin kera rajaton määrä suklaakonvehteja. Jäin kaipaamaan ainoastaan tuoretta leipää.

Hieman ihmettelen arkkitehtiä, joka oli päättänyt laittaa tilan keskelle rakennuksen runkoa ja 2. kerrokseen, jolloin ravintolasali jää auttamatta hämäräksi ja sen houkuttelevaksi saanti on liki mahdoton tehtävä. Ylimmästä kerroksesta löytyisi huikeat maisemat ja enemmän valoa.

Visited the new Lilla Sten Restaurant in Kivenlahti for the first time. Nice addition to the area!

It was quiet, but cozy and comfortable inside. Tried a tasty burger—fresh and juicy. Prices were fair and the service was friendly.

Worth a visit if you’re nearby. Looking forward to trying more from the menu next time!

Oikein hyvä sunnuntailounas perheen kesken. Bistrosta saa burgerien ja siipien lisäksi salaatteja. Asiakkaita oli salin täydeltä mutta palvelu oli silti
hyvää. Täytyy tulla kokeilemaan lounas erikseen.

Täytyy myöntää että olin innoissani uudesta ravintolasta Kivenlahdessa. Olin kuitenkin ihan varmuuden vuoksi asettanut odotukseni tarpeeksi matalalle, sillä ajattelin että avajaispäivänä ravintola olisi tupaten täynnä ja näin koko keittiö kaaoksessa.

Noh, päästiin ravintolaan joka sijaitsee jossain käytävällä ja ravintola ei meidän iloksemme ollutkaan täynnä, vaan pöytätilaa oli runsaasti! Loistavaa! Eikun pöytiin, tarjoilija toi menut sukkelaan ja siitä tilaamaan. Meitä oli kuusi ja otimme kaikki siipicombot pienillä variaatioilla.

Sinäänsä tuo 15e combohinta on ihan hyvä, sillä nykypäivänä kun olut maksaa sen 10e tuopilta, niin ei siitä hintaa hirveästi itse siiville ja raneille tule.

Juomat tuli sukkelaan ja kaikki vaikutti hyvältä. Noh.. Ruokia sitten odoteltiinkin pitkään. Meni varmaan 45-50min että ensimmäiset annokset saapuivat... Noh, olimme pyytäneet lapsille siipikastikkeen erikseen. Yhteen annokseen tämä oli huomioitu, toiseen ei. Yhteen annokseen oli pyydetty korealaisella kastikkeella, tätä ei tullut. Tässä vaiheessa olimme saaneet puolet annoksista. Seuraavaa kolmea annosta odoteltiin 5-10min.
Annokset vihdoin saapuivat mutta kaikista kuudesta annoksesta puuttui aurajuustodipit.

Siivet itsessään nyt olivat ihan jees, vaikeahan noita on ryssiä, kastike oli vähän laihaa.
Annos oli kuitenkin pieni. Ranskalaisia oli noin kymmenen sormen verran ja siipiä se 6kpl. Hintaan nähden ihan ok, mutta normihinta esim. 12 siivelle ilman S-etukorttia on 17,90e! Huhhuh.

Mutta ihan oikeasti, se että ravintola on ensimmäistä päivää auki EI OLE tekosyy sille että hommat voi vetää perseelleen. "Me vasta opetellaan", joo hyvä homma, ehkä olisi kannattanut vetää joku kenraaliharjoitus? Olisin ymmärtänyt jos ravintola olisi ollut tupaten täynnä...

ONNEKSI henkilökunta tiedosti tilanteen ja antoi alennusta annoksista ja pahoitteli tilannetta, tästä isoa plussaa.

Mutta joo, Kariniemen valmiiksi paahdettuja kanansiipiä saa kahden kilon säkin halvemmalla kuin ravintolan 12kpl siipiä. 250 astetta kiertoilmauuniin toiseksi ylimmälle tasolle niin avot!

EDIT: Koska ravintola tarjosi seurueelle ilmaiset lounaat, päätin kokeilla uudestaan ja antaa toisen mahdollisuuden. Otin lohiannoksen lounaslistalta, ja se oli yksi parhaimmista lohiannoksista mitä olen ravintoloissa syönyt. Kala oli kypsennetty täydellisesti ja sitruunavoikastike oli erinomaista. Jos olisin ollut kotona, olisin nuollut lautasen.

Skip the lounas buffet. It's expensive (13.7e) for not much. No bread and butter, no biscuits to go with their cold coffee. Far away from most things in the area, so not worth travelling for either. I am happy to improve the rating if they improve their offering.
